visual jockey is a good vj soft and it's free.

it's a good idea tu use rendered animation as texture for 3d objects.
There is also a plugin for doing L-system fractals in 3dsmax.
Combining the two techniques can be very cool.

Maybe you should personnalize your work. Many fractals in your demos seems to be rendered from the "Apophysis light Pack" without any (or minor) modification. At least give a credit to the artist.
