Madnetic - Magnetic Fields [Nutek Records]

Beitrag von Sordral »

Madnetic, this is David Des, 29 years old from sun shinning Barcelona (Spain). After many solo tracks on compilations, like "Climate Change" or "Exploding Man" his long awaited debut album "Magnetic Fields" was released on Nutek Records this month. Now I am putting the disc in my player and pushing the button: PLAY

Madnetic started to produce sound in the year 2005. This is a long time for producing an album. But very fast the album made quite plain to me why the production of the album took such a long time. Good work will take time. And this is what you get. The sound of Madnetic is far away from old, standard and "always the same" full-on sound. It is fresh, various and pervaded by many new elements. The album is well balanced between smooth parts and lashing beats. This CD only knows one direction: Strictly forward!

My favourites:
Dejavoo:
The track starts with a fluffy and twisty beat, combined with a lot of spinning grooves and melodies. 145 BPM are hunting over the dance floor. Break. The track goes on like a rocket! The rotating high range elements push the sound straight forward. This is night compatible stuff

Afro Samurai:
Afro Samurai was one of the tracks which were released on compilations. In this case at: "The Exploding Man". The beat of Afro Samurai drives me crazy. A rolling baseline with screeching highs and lot of escalations awaits the listener. Night hunter sound ;-)

Greets
