mahamaya switzerland
the mahamaya is an urban indian restaurant in berne, switzerland.
the concept of the mahamaya is to serve authentic indian food in
a urban enviroment - accompanied with ambient and downbeat music
in the background.
we exist since june 2004, since then the restaurant is always packed and
full with people. it is a small and cosy place which now is famous all over
the city and has also it's good name and reputation all over switzerland.
the response to the music in the evenings is massive and a lot of people
which did not even know that something like ambient exists - just loves it.
the music which is been played comes only from original cd's.
our philosophy is to support all those great artists out there and the
sometimes very small labels involved.
this is to say thank you to all of you ambient artists and labels out there.
you are doing a great job and we will do everything we can do promote
your music to a wide spectrum of people. people that normally will
not get a chance to hear your music.
babag - one of the owners is also an ambient dj and is also
newly involved in a project - that is called chill in with a view and
it's held in the lounge and bar area of a 4star hotel in zurich.
again and also with this project ambient reaches the ears and hearts
of people which never heard such music before.
babag is also djing only with original cd's.
