About the TanTriK
Aghori TanTriK is a Dark Psytrance project of Siddharth Agrawal aka Sid (26 yrs) from India.

Sid gives a mind-expanding psychedelic sonic expression about the lifestyle & culture of the Aghori Tantrik cult. Aghori TanTriKs are a holymen from India who believe in liberation from the illusion of this existence by embracing the dark side just as much as the positive side of society. They worship Kali (the goddess of destruction), drink from human skulls and engage in ancient tribal rituals which would appear as a big taboo and totally unthinkable in today's society.

This music project is famous for its powerful driving basslines, atmospheres which throw you into surreal worlds and beautifully crafted dark tunes which guide your consciousness madly into excitement with aggression and craziness.

Sid's Story
Sid started producing music since he was 14 years old, with techno and minimal house music. Before that since he was 10 years old, he was a newbie computer programmer and was already teaching his school teachers how to make games with "BASIC". But after discovering the wild world of electronic music production at 14, he quickly lost interest in computer programming. He was a successful DJ in commercial music scene in his home-city, Mumbai in his formative years (14 - 17). At 17 he was on Zee TV giving an interview about what he thinks about electronic music and what is the future for it in India.

With over 500 CDs sold with his first techno album titled "Journey to the Unheard" via Mp3.com at the tender but vicious age of 17, Sid gained confidence and respect for the field of music production and sound design.

Next step was to go deeper into the theory and practice of sound design and thats exactly what he did. He did his degree in Audio Engineering from SAE, Byron Bay in 2005 and started professional work as a Sound Designer for Games and Multimedia.

Meanwhile, his underground bedroom productions were getting more and more twisted, as and when he learnt new techniques and discovered better production practises, he was able to express himself and his meditations in a much better manner.

Following a balanced path of spirituality and positive use of technology and a heavy influence from the hippie culture which was sort of based on similar foundations of self liberation by travel, substances and a positive vibe party scene, Sid exploded in the Indian underground music scene in late 2005 and 2006 with his new project, aGh0Ri TanTriK.

There after he performed in many private and public events to share his music and vibe with everyone. With crazy sets that sometimes lasted upto 6 hours, he played as a headliner in most events.

In 2005 he opened his record label, Sonic Tantra Records, whose sole intention was to pump mind and Kundalini blowing music into the scene. Also the label's interest was to find and nurture talented artists from all over the world. Sonic Tantra has been responsible for the very 1st releases of artists such as Enichkin, Hishiryo, Noized, Cosmic Iron, Kiriyama, Oil, etc. This label continues to introduce fresh crop with every new release!
