So I really got no problems here Cause I think I like most of all kind of music! From chill to dark, from fullon to progressive. And why not, also lot of other kind of sounds also not psy.

I just have to say honestly one last thing..:
Im also not a lover of sounds too poppy or with voices or lalalala, etc.... (like the little piece at 53.20 min in the first mix.. hihi).
If u 're able to listen you could also understand that the track is really "cutted" in the middle of it (is a track from "white noise", called, violence and violins, don't know if u know him --> http://www.myspace.com/whitenoiselab) and i have to say that the last piece of the track is really WORST in my opinion!!! hehehe... moooore and mooore kitchy.... but I had to cut it because didn't want to play some shitty stuff.
Anyway I also put that in the mix cause I loved the "lift up piece" at 51. 50 min. So I'm sorry
And I just have to say you RIGHT for all the things you talked about.

The other mix was mostly composed by tracks from "white noise" (3 tracks). Like the first with this strange beginning.
He cutted this track directly from the mix.... (10 minutes long).

Anyway probably seems to be the "always israelian". But I also think is fucking great how high is the quality I can find on his track. Trust me! His sound is sooooo clean!

yeah. i think every good psychedelic trance artist has its own unique style.
and in my opinion all of them are really good.

i appreciate your offer for a present, but you forgot that i didn't talk about you, i talked about the situation within the (swiss) psytrance scene (especially about the festival situation) from a globalized point of view. i'm sorry for using your thread for that, but your atmosphere-mix fits very good in this topic, i felt. that doesn't mean i (or somebody else) think you are a bad dj, so you haven't to prove your true skills (ok, maybe on a party ). i know u could do it in many different ways, what a good dj always should be able to do. so don't worry.

the situation what i talking about is most accurate described in the post from psytrance.tribe.net posted by me on page 2 in this thread, because i'm sharing the same experience. we had already an discussion (within MF) about this topic. the discussion had started with the mentioned post but unfortunately took an completely wrong way. the people had written more about the illegal downloads instead the musical point of view or the general progress of psychedelic trance. so the discussion missed the quintessence of the said post.

btw:
in general i'm trying to avoid concepts like "favorite artists".
and i can't believe that u are really interested in the music what i mean, but if you do open your mind (or eyes) and you will get it. and if not, just write me an pn

so ... i also gonna write a few words about fullon nowadays ...

this is my honest opinion about it ... u can beleve me or not ... but this ist realy a honest post ...

I'm going to psytranceparties sience 1996 ... a lot of things changed sience then ... good or bad is a matter of taste ...

When i went to my first tranceparties i loved the music that got plyed there ... i didn't realy have an idea what was new ...or wich tracks were already a year or 2 old ... and honestly i didn't care about at all ... because it was all psychedelic ... and this is what i likek back then ...
There were only a few labels releaseing psytrance ... like Perfecto, Platipus, Flying Rhino, and so on ...

Sometime after that was the doublebass time (Thats how we called it) ... Tracks like Johan Bley - Stranded (delta remix)
, Erotica - Out here we are stoned, or Delta - Travelling at the Speed of thoughts ... it was less psychedelic then other psytrance ...but in a way ore danceable ... i realy started to dig thoses chunked up basslines ... even if it was different ...
and they also used kinda standart riffs and sounds ... but still those tracks are real classics nowadays ...

time passed ...and suddenly an new genere inside trance showed up ... it was the so called progressiv ... so many ppl didn't like that sound as it was "new" and less psychedelic then other trance --- i remember clearly the fights in INTERZONE ... ppl complaining about unpsychedelic Progressiv in Parties ... i honestl didn't realy care as i liked it too ...
Psytrance was allways in a kinda evolution ... as it was a testfield for many producers ...
And still u get those hits like Klein aber Doctor, wich everyone says he loved back then ...

So after an other few years ...some new guy called Astrix showed up in the trancescene ... with a REALY UNIQUE STYLE ... noone made music like him ... maybe GMS got close to it ... but he was the one who changed the psytrance to fullon ...
when he first came up noone did music like him ... but with time he got copied from soo many ppl ... many ppl wanted to have those fat basslines (included me) ... because it was amazing danceable ...
i remember the first party i played fullon ... it was a back to back set with Muestik in Freiburg ... a party wth Infected Mushroom ... OMG the crowd went sooo wild when we played a Astrix or GMS track ... (Noone was compareable to them as the had their own defined style) ... but after about 2 years everyone Sounded a bit like them ... specialy basslinewise ...

THE NOW :

I'm playing a lot in brazil ... Wich is trancewise the strongest country at the moment ...

Most people there like supercheesy Fullon ... singing , guitars long breaks and so on ...

So KID A from Israel has a very unique style ... but he sees that hes friend KID B is travelling all the tie to brazil and back ...he showes to Kid A pictures from all the massive gigs and all the parties he played ... So KID A starts to think ...if i do Music as Kid B does i will travel to al this beutyfull places and can play for such big crowds ... so hes loosing hes uniqueness because he starts copying KID B ...

Look at Eskimo ... in the beginning he had a very own defined style ... and after 2 Years soo many ppl sounded like him ...so hes music got booooring as you heard clones of it for 1000 times ...

Also about the progressiv Music nowadays ... u realy think it is more psychedelic then Fullon ? in my opinion not ... they are kinda same level of psychedelicness ...
Progressiv Trance sounds nowadays often like highpbm Techno ... wich i actuly like too ...

So the question is ..what makes the fullon boring ... is it us who got too used to it ... or is it the artist who repeat them selfes endlessly ? or both ... Psytance needs changes ... u think if u would still listen to Hallucinogen - Gamma Goblins every weekend it wouldn't make u bored somewhen ?

Bottom Line :

I'm still Djing Fullon ... but its just too hard to find nowadays good Fullon to play ...
I still think that acts like Burn in noise , Earthling , Headroom, FlipFlop and so on have some psychedelic atmosphere in their Music ... and if someone can mix this style with a clever amount of less psychedelic Trance he can do a realy enjoyable Job for a psychedelic trancefloor ...

There is no bad music ... just music i don't enjoy myself dancing too ...

(may there is some bad music ...hahaha)

Who said that progressive is in general not psychWho said that progressive is in general not psychedellic? There are lots of artists doing very psycedellic and trippy progressive techno or progressive goa.

Let's say the psychedellic aspect of music dos not have anything to do with its beat or genere.
Pink floyd were doing psychedellic rock. A psychedellic techno style founded in India was called Goa. Maybe fullon does not have to be psychedellic. But I think that psy fullon fits much better to a festival with UV decoration and psy art towels at the walls than poppy fullon.

Maybe the festivals shoud be a bit categorized in techno or whatever festivals, or psy festivals. In my opinion, a psy techno festival could nowadays also be calld a goa party.

I was compareing Progressiv to Fullon ... for sure in both generes are still some artist that are doing psychedelic Music ... but still most of them don't realy ...

That's right. Most of them... 100 % signed. But if you dig deep enough and do not only look for new sounds within your favorite labels, there's still an O.K. amount of psychedelic sounds to discover in both styles, full-on and progressive. However, on most parties I've been in the last couple years (all here in CH) none of these sounds were played... Instead you hear Neelix songs in every second Progi-set and Isra-Trance in almost every Psy/Full-On set. I like Neelix, as i find his music extremely danceable but i wouldn't call it psychedelic at all. And if this goes like a red line through the whole party, there is no real psychedelic aspect to find any more... However, new people joining the scene then think this IS psychedelic, because they never ever got a chance to listen to real psy. Sad but true it seems. Nowadays I found out that those new sounds which i call psychedelic, are more often than not the slower songs on compilations which include some dark psy (which I personally hate as much if not more than Pop-Goa). Strange world...

About the general discussion...
I just wanna say that since many years when I speak with artists and freaks coming from outside the swiss german part is well known that in most Swiss German Partys, you find only Dudeludum cheesy full-on ....

Nothing new

This doesn't mean that many dj's playing there cannot do something different, but when they play at those partys in that part of Switzerland they choose to play THAT STYLE of music.... because most part of the peope going to those party like it....

Is a particularity of the german part of Switzerland and I think is a unique caracteristique in the world As almost everywhere else you find much more intense and psychedelic sound all around the world (maybe not in the big mainstream Brazil partys, even if UP has got a good lineup hehe )

i still believe the right (psy) music at the right time is the key to reach the people and their tastes. an equilibrium and evolution of different styles of trance creates a nice round musical trip for the listeners, for those who like it harder and for those who prefer more emotional... and for those who wanna chill out in the zone next to the dance floor

don't blame the artists and their music. blame the person who does the line-ups of parties.

so i think nobody really blames the artists or djs in this thread .... nobody should be blamed at all, but the fact is a goa-party (at least most of such events) is no more a psychedelic trance party like it is supposed to be. we was not talking about the difference between harder and more emotional music, and despite of this, harder music must not be less emotional and vice versa, we are talking only about the psychedelic deepness of some kind of events that are supposed to be psychedelic (and the psychedelic deepness is entirely style-independent) ... thereby we have to realize that times have changed, the psychedelic-factor is no more important on such events

my opinion: not full-on, not progressive, not dark .... just an unique psychedelic trance ... emotional, hallucinogenic, atmospheric, twisted, hypnotic and deep psychedelic ... it's just an example and there are lots of them ... and in the case of doubt you should listen to it twice

Don’t get me wrong, there is still lots of good freaky music out there, but the market forces in psy aren’t different from those at the New York stock exchange, so you just don’t get to hear it on parties - or at least very rarely. You rather hear that mass produced CCC-Trance (crappy, childish and cheesy) for the masses, which is, from a musical point-of-view, simply a catastrophe and an embarrassment for the whole scene.

i think in switzerland are as well many people who realize this
