Es paar Infos us Japan zur Einreise und s Wätter uf Amami:
Hello to all beautiful souls!
For those who are going to travel to Japan for the first time,I would advise to read this.
!!!Warning!!!!
The Immigration in Japan is strict,
I highly advise you to prepare a full trip schedule
They will ask you :
where will you stay(you have to show them booking for the first days)
where you wanna travel(give some plan)
to show them that you have enough money, they may ask you to show them your cash and credit cards.
The CUSTOM is the most STRICT!!
There is no red or green pass like in other countries!
There is only one pass, and everyone pass one by one,and they check each one personally!!!.(many dogs as well)
(specially in Tokyo)they will open all your bags, and they may do the body check as well.
They will ask you about drugs!!!please remember no jokes!!Japanese custom officers do not understand jokes!!!!!:(
Party people will be double checked,so please don`t risk...
MONEY!!
There are almost no Changers in Japan like in other countries.
You change money in the banks.(with commissions)
Only in the Airport you have Exchange Money place,I advise you to change money there,at least for few days!
There are ATM machines in the convenient stores, but I found difficult to withdraw money from international MasterCard,
to get cash from Inter.Credit cards you might have to go to Post office for special ATM.
Most people will not speak English,
PLEASE DO NOT PANIC!!!
Japanese are very very shay people, they very shay to speak English, but if you ask softly ,they will help!
They are very very kind and friendly, not as its looks like on the first day!
You are in the happy place and the most safe place!
To avoid mistakes and waist of money, please double ask regarding directions, trains, stations tickets....
If you plan to travel after/before the festival,my best advise-get JR Pass, this pas can be purchase ONLY in your country from travel agent or Internet! When you arrive to Japan, you can not get it!
If you get this pass you will safe so much money on trains!!
please see the web
http://www.japanrailpass.net/eng/en001.html
Medical insurance.
Get Travel Insurance for Japan,as if you will need any medical care, you will pay so much money!!
So insure yourself!!
About Amami
Its going to be very hot!!
Last year it was +35 C` on July 21-22
I was there, some people got sick from too strong sun
On the festival aria there no shadow!!!!
The Sun in Japan is much more strong and dangerous then in other countries!!!!
Please do yourself a favor bring some taps so things to make a roof above your tents!
Bring UV cover!!!light long sleeve cloth to cover from the sun.
also at night you might need it.
Last year I saw people get burned from just 1 hour being in water, and its was sop painful...
so I feel I have to warn you too!
I'm sure its not a full list ,so if anyone have a questions, please feel free to contact me.
Its going to be an amazing experience for all of us,and for the first timers its even doubles it!!
Oh!!!don't forget to look for 100Yen shops or 99 yen shops, its a killer-winner best quality and best price (it is highly rated shopping place)
Conveyor sushi 100yen! cheap and goooooooooooooooddddddd
oh so many things in Japan to do,see and eatttttttttttt
I'm sure its not a full list ,so if anyone have a questions, please feel free to contact me.

Fasch wie am 2 bim Chai
I had a thought on location. How about changing it to the chill/healing area instead of the info booth? I know some of the artists are looking for ways to manifest good vibes of intention and harmony in the chill area. Arranging a meeting of new friends seems like a great way to help contribute to that vibe. Since the time is noon (lunch time), how about everyone bringing some extra food and drink to share and we can hang out and have a picnic lunch at the chill space? Good chance to chat and get to know each other over food and drink and music (not sure if the chill space will have sound running yet by the 18th but the location should be set up or close to set up by then).
So what does everyone think?:
Saturday, July 18th - noon - chill area, left speaker
Monday, July 20 - noon - chill area, left speaker
Could be fun? I know I don't have any other pressing engagements on my calendar, haha. ;-P
